YaraVita MAGFLO 300
Strawberry (field grown): 4 l/ha at green bud. Water rate: 200-500 l/ha.
Leaf margins are chlorotic and then scorched. This spreads to the intercostal areas. The leaf becomes bright yellow with necrotic tints. The basal part of the leaf blade remains light green at the last. Mature leaves are affected first. Symptoms worsen with increased deficiency and leaf age. The young central leaves remain green.
Sandy soils. Acidic soils. Potassium rich soils. Soils receiving high potash applications. Cold wet periods.
Improved photosynthesis. Green healthy foliage. Reduced yellowing on older leaves.
Magnesium deficiency Deficient leaf blades contain less than 0.1 % magnesium on dry basis. Potassium deficiency can cause similar symptoms. Leaves with salt burn show similar symptoms.
