Older leaves are vaulted downward or contorted and show interveinal chlorosis. Deformations have been reported from younger leaves, too. With ongoing deficiency mature leaves display a dark green, later brown marginal discoloration that finally spreads allover the leaf blade. Plant size is reduced.
Organic soils. High pH soils. Soils rich in phosphorus. Soils receiving high phosphorus application. Cold wet conditions.
Improved crop development. Increased yield. Improved fruit quality.
Zinc deficiency Suggested range is 16-80 ppm in leaf tissue. Zinc content in soils is often good while its availibility is not sufficient. Excessively high soil pH should be avoided.
